Stephen Curry Named Unanimous NBA Most Valuable Player

With this year’s award, Stephen Curry becomes the 11th player in NBA history to win back-to-back MVPs. Other guards that managed to do it are: Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan and Steve Nash.

And he did it with style by becoming the 1st ever player to do it unanimously.

There were 131 voters and every single one of them didn’t have any doubt when asked who was their MVP candidate.

This isn’t really a surprise due to Curry’s amazing season. The Golden State Warriors point-guard had some amazing stats. Steph Curry contributed to the franchise record (73-9), finishind the regular season with 30.1 PPG, 2.4 SPG, 402(!!!) 3-pointers, 6.7 APG and 5.4 RPG.

Kawhi Leonard (San Antonio Spurs) and Lebron James (Cleveland Cavaliers) finished in 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.

I think we can all agree this was the right choice. If Curry was out of the equation, who do you think should be named MVP?
